Beware the days’ Real Estate Headlines!

A recent story, reported by CNN, made a big deal of the fact that, for the first time in eight months, home prices were on the rise. “Home prices rise, snapping 8-month drop streak,” read the headline, which – if, per chance, glanced at by someone struggling to sell a house in Long Island – would have seemed to indicate better times to come…

Not to be a downer; or to rain on anyone’s parade, but please folks: beware the days’ headlines!

Nobody wants to see a turnaround in the housing market more than I do. My firms have been involved in nearly 12,000 real estate transactions, and I am a renowned real estate investment expert who depends on a strong market to be able to do what I do best – buy and sell Long Island houses. Because I have a special expertise in how to sell Nassau County and Suffolk County homes, I understand the fears and anxieties of home owners desperately in need of (to put it in Google-speak) a tangible ‘sell NY house fast’ solution.

But, when it comes to headlines such as the one by CNN, just remember that newspapers have one job: to sell newspapers by providing news that piques the interest of readers. As someone who knows a thing or two about real estate, please consider my advice: Don’t take any such headline to mean that you can validate holding out for a better offer.

The truth is that, if you are trying to sell your NY house and have any kind of reasonable offer on the table, that gives you REAL VALUE or cash, you should consider yourself lucky, and say “YES.” The CNN story is nothing more than a blast of fake smoke at a Def Leppard concert…

According to S&P spokesman David Blitzer, who the story went on to quote, “The seasonally adjusted numbers show that much of the improvement reflects the beginning of the spring-summer home buying season.”

In other words, the rise does not indicate any real pick-up within the market, it only indicates a cyclical change – a change that occurs every year at this time whether the sky is falling or Godzilla is tearing through the streets of Malverne…

Foreclosures are indeed on the decline, and the reason is because smart folks are starting to clear their minds and go with the smart money. There is no reason to suffer the fear and anxiety of not being able to make your monthly payments. If you are struggling to sell your NY house, call us today and see what we can do for you. If you have not had the kind of response you need, then get a hold of me, because with my seven-day sale program we guarantee you $250.00 cash, guaranteed, just to see if your Suffolk County house or Nassau County home qualifies.

We all want to see the market change, but never make decisions based on headlines…Due diligence, with the help of a seasoned real estate investment expert like myself, is what you will need to get out from under the weight of struggling to sell a house in NY.
